Primary Health Care
We believe that possessing a foundational understanding of primary health care is crucial, particularly for individuals residing in remote areas with limited access to immediate medical facilities. Primary health care encompasses health awareness, prevention, direct care, advocacy, and active individual and community participation.
A significant component of primary health care is health literacy. We acknowledge the sensitive nature of this topic, especially within shame-based cultures, and emphasize the importance of understanding and respecting community cultural norms regarding health-related matters. Furthermore, the level of familiarity individuals have with health-related language and concepts is vital for fostering health literacy within communities.
Our aim is to dismantle the stigma frequently associated with sickness and disease. We also aspire to empower more men and women across all age groups to undertake training as primary health facilitators and caregivers within their communities.

Crucially, communities must learn how to engage effectively, regardless of the challenges they may encounter, never succumbing to discouragement. This is essential for increasing resilience and the tenacity to dare.
